Emily Henry + Mia Sosa. I love Funny Story and The Worst Best Man! They do such a good job balance emotion with humor and romance within these stories which is something I like to do, and look to them for motivation when writing my own stories.

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:
Vincent from The Kiss Countdown by Etta Easton. He is truly the male lead of all leads, smart, charming, ambitious, filled with a bunch of facts about space. In my dream scenario we actually fall in love (sorry Amerie) and talk about space and the stars for the rest of eternity.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:
When I started writing fan fiction for stories where I hated the endings and forced myself to pretend my words were the real story. It became a hobby, taking my favorite worlds and placing my spin on it. Eventually I thought, why don't I make my own?
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook:
Hardback for a display, but it's too heavy to carry around so I travel with my ebook or paperbacks! I can't get into audiobooks because my attention span has the strength of a newborn deer's legs.
The last book I read:
Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. It's hard to read things that make you seriously laugh out loud but I was choking on laughter while reading when I wasn't blushing or giggling at the main couple. Hannah carries a large cast in such a fun, engaging way and the premise of working for a villain hooked me alone.

Pen & paper or computer:
I prefer a computer. I feel as if my handwriting can't keep up with how fast ideas come to me and I fear forgetting something so I prefer to type. I use my notes app on my phone when I'm out if any ideas pop into my head or in the middle of the night.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with:
To mention Assistant to the Villain again, I think I'd be great friends with Blade as I too, make the most outrageous statements at inappropriate moments just for a bit. He also loves to try to break the ice even in the most tense situations and I feel as if we'd egg each other on. So we'd be best friends, but probably murdered with how annoying of a pair we'd be.
If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:
It's a running joke between my friends and I, how I'm a failed astrophysicist. I originally went to school to become one but math, that vile little subject, became detrimental to my choice of career and I had to pivot. My friends call me Comet Mama, so the dream lives on in a way as I still share the most useless space facts to anyone around me.
Favorite decade in fashion history:
I'm not the biggest fashion expert but in my dream life everything has pockets and has pretty patterns and a built in bra.
Place I’d most like to travel:
I've traveled a bit but still haven't gone to Tokyo. I'm a bit of a nerd (outside of the whole reading part of my life) and have always been into video games and anime, and a lot of my favorite games and shows come from Japan. In Tokyo, they do a lot of pop up events that have themed parties, food, merch, and I would love to go and get exclusive items. I'd also love to meet some of my favorite authors while I'm there, tour some studios, too!
My signature drink:
I love a hazelnut latte for the morning and an amaretto sour for the evening. I am weak, I need bitterness and sourness to be masked by sweet flavors.
Favorite artist:
Nobuo Uematsu! He is the composer for my favorite video game series of all time, Final Fantasy, and I listen to the albums every single day. When I'm working, writing, relaxing, trying to sleep. For over a decade his music has been a constant source of comfort and motivation. (I recently got to meet him and could barely speak from the crying that erupted!)
Number one on my bucket list:
One thing I am always working for is a house. I have a dream one in mind, but I'm not sure where exactly I want the house to be. So I'm traveling a bit, trying to see what place feels like home to me forever!
