Author I draw inspiration from:
I draw inspiration from authors, songs, movies, events, relationships and everyday life. There’s no one particular person or thing specifically that inspires me – it’s just all the experiences that live in my head. There are many books I’ve enjoyed in many different genres: Kristin Hannah, ‘The Nightingale,’ ‘The Women.’ Khaled Hosseini, ‘The Kite Runner,’ ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns.’ Stieg Larsson, The Millennim Series. Gillian Flynn, ‘Gone Girl.’ Miranda Cowley Heller, ‘Paper Palace.’ Sara Gruen, ‘Water for Elephants’… to name a few.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:
When I started writing my first book. It began as a pet project and quickly grew into something I knew was much bigger - now a trilogy!
Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook:
I vacillate between paperback and ebook. Ebooks are so easy and convenient but sometimes I really like being able to flip back through actual pages to find something.
The last book I read:
‘Culpability’ by Bruce Holsinger. I enjoyed it. It’s both current and thought-provoking, examining the benefits and dangers of artificial intelligence and how it can blurr moral lines – all set against a suspenseful family drama of secrets, interpersonal relationships, ethical dilemmas and danger.

Pen & paper or computer:
Computer 100%. I feel paralyzed without a computer. Even when I write a handwritten note, I compose it on a computer first.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with:
I’ve read many books in my lifetime and enjoyed multiple characters who I could see myself being friends with, but the most time I’ve spent with stories was when my children were young and I found that not many strong female characters are portrayed in fairytales. That’s why I love Mulan – she’s courageous and fierce while also being loving and kind. She uses her intelligence and wit to persevere in complicated and dangerous situations and remains true to herself against all odds, shattering generational societal gender norms. She’s a role model, not just for young girls but for women everywhere. I’d like to meet her as an adult - ‘Let’s get down to business…’

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:
Before becoming a writer, I was a nonprofit leader working to grow the missions of many worthy causes. As a child, my aspirational goals were to become a dolphin trainer – clearly practicality hadn’t kicked in yet. So maybe a dream career would be something that combines my skills with a sense of adventure like becoming an experiential travel writer.
Favorite decade in fashion history:
The 50’s. I just finished watching Mad Men and loved the fashion.
Place I’d most like to travel:
Greece. My best friend is Greek and travels there every year. I’ve heard countless stories and seen endless pictures of this magical place and quite literally have an open invitation waiting for me.
My signature drink:
Cosmo
Favorite artist:
DelRain. They are original musicians who write, compose, and perform the stories of their lives. They’re poets, artists and all-around badass individuals who happen to be my sister and brother-in-law. You’d be lucky to meet them.
Number one on my bucket list:
The Secrets Trilogy gets made into a limited-edition TV series!

Six Weeks of Love & Larceny is my debut novel which launched The Secrets Trilogy, a witty, heart-pounding series that tests the limits of trust, the boundaries of love and the bonds of sisterhood in the face of deception and danger. The journey continues in Twelve Weeks of Love & Loss, followed by Sixteen Weeks of Love & Lies.

Rebecca Gould Baeurle
Rebecca Gould Baeurle has spent a lifetime helping others chase their missions—now she’s chasing one of her own. After a successful career in the nonprofit world spanning education, healthcare, disability inclusion, and community building, she’s traded grant proposals for plot twists.
Originally from a small town in North Jersey, Rebecca earned her degree in Communications and English from the University of Delaware and never stopped writing. Her voice was forged out of necessity to survive in a family of ferocious talkers, and her storytelling chops were honed over decades of hilarious banter.
Six Weeks of Love and Larceny is her debut novel – the first in The Secrets Trilogy. Rebecca lives just outside Philadelphia—close enough to cheer loudly for the Eagles—and is known to disappear to the Delaware beaches with a good book and an even better cocktail. She’s been married to her college sweetheart, Mike, for 36 years, has two grown children who still keep her on her toes, and yes—she really does have a sister she adores.
