Author Interview - Shruti Rao

Author of A Wife for the Devil

A Wife for the Devil' is a Victorian romance. The heroine is the illegitimate child of an Indian soldier and an Englishwoman, and her life is barely in her control. She lives at the whims of her mother's family. But soon she meets our brooding hero, the industrialist Hugh Atwood. 'Brooding' is actually severely understating the darkness in his past. Their attraction is immediate and fiery, but they have so many enemies. The English aristocracy is a nest of vipers. And so is Hugh's past. Will their love be strong enough to withstand all these perils?
