HBL Note: When I read the synopsis of this book, I thought for sure the author wrote it based on my dreams. It has everything I love. The main character (Nell) has a PhD in art history (not too far from fashion history!) “Finding a job turns out to be difficult for an art historian” Um, same for a fashion historian. But Nell is given a home filled with modern art to establish an artists colony (in my dream, I’m given a home filled with historic fashion to start a small museum.) I love this book. My reading schedule is full for the foreseeable future but I’m keeping this one on my nightstand in case I find some extra time to devour it.
