Book Review - You'll Grow Out of It by Jessi Klein

Remember how much I loved Amy Schumer's book? I loved this one THAT MUCH! Jessi Klein was not on my radar until I started seeing this book pop up on some of my favorite Instagram accounts (namely @rwbookclub and @reesewitherspoon.) Jessi Klein is currently the head writer and executive producer on Inside Amy Schumer (a show I love!) but you might also know her from her appearances on The Showbiz Show with David Spade, VH1's Best Week Ever, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, or NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me!

This is another one of those books that's almost better heard on Audible rather than reading it - I love listening to the author read her own words, using the tone of voice she intended when she wrote it. After you listen to "The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo" listen to this one. I hope you love it as much as I did.

Best quotes from You'll Grow Out of It:

“I was a woman sobbing in a hotel corridor, which is kind of incredible, because when I was little I thought I was going to be a senator.”
― Jessi Klein, You'll Grow Out of It

“This was when I learned one of the biggest secrets of being a woman, which is that much of the time, we don't feel like we're women at all.”
― Jessi Klein, You'll Grow Out of It

“Women have problem areas in a way that men don't. We have big hips and muffin tops. Men just have the thing where they create wars and wreak havoc all over the globe.”
― Jessi Klein, You'll Grow Out of It
