Author I draw inspiration from: Kristin Hannah. I respect her imagination and discipline to write so many books with different story lines.

Favorite place to read a book: I like to shut the bedroom door, pile up pillows and read in bed!

Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with: Atlee Pine, Long Road to Mercy, by David Baldacci. I like her fearless determination, athleticism and intelligence. I'd depend on her to find us a way out!

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author: When I was 8 years old, and spent afternoons writing poetry and short stories with my childhood best friend.

Hardback, paperback, ebook or audiobook: I do love my audiobooks as I can listen anywhere, cooking a meal or driving, etc. However, I also cherish my paperback collection which I savor when I can really curl up and read.

The last book I read: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. I really liked the creativity of this book.

Pen & paper or computer: I used to love writing with pen and paper but have transitioned to a computer after a case of carpal tunnel and chaotic stacks of paper!

Book character I think I’d be best friends with: Bridget Jones, Bridget Jone's Diary by Helen Fielding. I love humor and appreciate when one can poke fun at themselves. I could see myself sharing a pint of beer with Bridget in a pub!

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a: World Traveler that scuba dived, climbed mountains and explored uncharted territories.

Favorite decade in fashion history: The present! Going virtual requires that I only need to have some nice shirts and my leggings, jeans or sweats work just fine when out of sight!

Place I’d most like to travel: I've been to Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania, Africa but would love to go to South Africa and do a photography safari there.

My signature drink: Britta filtered water but my "closet drink" is a blueberry red bull! But don't tell my doctor that!

Favorite artist: Music wise--I have too many to mention but love the 70's and 80's. I love photos and oils that focus on nature, both it's power and serenity.

Number one on my bucket list: To have one huge reunion of family and friends where we celebrate life itself, tell stories and laugh about the good and challenging times.

Anything else you'd like to add: Books can actually add new friends and expand your perspective of life. I love book clubs where a discussion can lead to a new way of thinking or spark an idea for something you might want to try in your own life. When you open a new chapter in a book -- you also can open a new chapter in some area of your life if you're willing to stay receptive.
