Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:
Addie LaRue (The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab). I imagine that it's late at night, & the emergency call button isn't working, so we're stuck for a long time, & we talk for hours. She tells me her story, & I sit in amazement, worried she's lost touch w reality, even as a part of me wonders . . . what if? Then I'll start getting so sleepy that I'll doze off for just a moment—& when I come to, I'll blink at her in confusion & ask, "Who are you?"

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:
I was nine, & my family had immigrated to the U.S. from Argentina only a few years earlier, & I was still struggling with English. That year, my teacher read to us from Shel Silverstein's Where the Sidewalk Ends, & I felt like I was hearing the language for the first time. It inspired me to pick up my pen, & I haven't set it down since.

I love the beauty of hardbacks, the portability of paperbacks, the peek into other readers' brains via the popular highlights in ebooks, & working out/driving while listening to audiobooks.

What Makes a Monster by Emily Cooper (Feb 2027). I liked it so much, I blurbed it!

Pen & paper or computer:
I always begin with pen & paper. In the early part of the creative process, I carry around a journal for jotting down ideas as they come to me. Once I've filled 1-2 notebooks, my fingers usually start itching for my laptop, & I start typing my outline.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with:
Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen) because she's fun & bold & witty, & I'm sure we'd have a great time.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:
I always want to say astronaut just because I love the idea of exploring outer Space, but the truth is, I don't have the science or math chops.
Favorite decade in fashion history:
For nostalgic reasons, the 90s.
Place I’d most like to travel:
Edinburgh, Scottland to visit my friend Caden's new romance bookshop, https://www.bookloversbookshop.co.uk, which was just named Scotland's Indie Bookshop of 2026!

Iced oat milk latte!
Favorite artist:
My 8-year-old niece, Mica, who creates amazing drawings & comes up with really cool stories.
