Book character I’d like to be stuck in an elevator with:
Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11): Authored or co-authored several books, including Return to Earth (1973), Magnificent Desolation (2009), and No Dream Is Too High. I would ask him to tell me about what he saw while he was in space... classified details and all.

The moment I knew I wanted to become an author:

I prefer harback and paperback books, Computers and digital screens emit high-energy blue light which suppresses melatonin production and disrupts circadian rhythms.
The last book I read:
Real Magic, by Dean Radin, PhD. Fascinating. Makes me want to go back to school to study quantum physics.

Pen & paper or computer:
Initially pencil and paper.. watercolor sketch pads.. then washed in color and ink. I sketch storyboards and scenes along with rough drafts of the manuscript.
Book character I think I’d be best friends with:
Anne of Green Gables. Her vivid imagination and she cant help but be true to herself.

If I weren’t an author, I’d be a:
My main profession is a garden designer.. but if I had more time... an artist.. or adventurist ;)

Marilyn Monroe-era fashion (1950s–early 1960s)
Place I’d most like to travel:
Egypt to see the pyramids
My signature drink:
Red wine from the Pacific Northwest region

Anything else you'd like to add:
My hope is that the book I wrote sparks curiosity in children, encouraging them to ask questions, to observe more closely, and to remain engaged in the magic of discovery.
Above all, I hope it inspires children to step outside, to explore, and to form a deeper connection with nature—and that it creates space for parents and children to bond, perhaps sharing this story together at bedtime.
